What does Temple Risk Advisory do?
Temple Risk Advisory is a private intelligence and counterintelligence investigations firm serving Fortune 500 corporations, private equity firms, boards of directors, executive leadership, and corporate counsel.

We specialize in human intelligence (HUMINT), corporate insider-threat intelligence, counterintelligence investigations, and behavioral and psychodynamic intelligence analysis, supported by advanced technical, digital, and operational capabilities.
Our work focuses on identifying covert risk, compromised decision-making, hidden influence, and internal threat dynamics that materially affect enterprise value, governance, and strategic outcomes.

Is Temple Risk Advisory a private investigation firm?
Temple Risk Advisory is an Ontario licensed Private investigation firm which operates as a private intelligence- counterintelligence and sophisticated investigations firm, not a traditional private investigation agency. Our intelligence investigators do not engage in insurance disability or marital or custodial matters. But as a regulatory requirement all of our Intelligence operational staff are licensed Private investigators. Many of our staff in fact have decades of advanced police and intelligence related specialized investigative experience and have even instructed and supervised investigations personnel.
In this province, organizations that provide operational intelligence and investigative services are required to be regulated under private investigation statutes. Temple Risk Advisory and its personnel hold all required firm-level and individual Private investigators licensure under the applicable Private Investigation Services Act (PISA).

While we maintain the required licensure, our work is fundamentally different in scope, mandate, and execution from conventional private investigation services. Engagements are intelligence-led, strategic, and focused on counterintelligence, insider-threat mitigation, executive risk, and governance-level intelligence, rather than routine surveillance or fact-finding. It is important to note that while all of our intelligence operatives have advanced degree's in law, forensic accounting, geo-politics, intelligence, computer science and in forensic behavioral sciences up to the Doctoral level each one of our operatives in addition to advanced education have decades of experience with governmental intelligence, national security, law enforcement special investigation units often up to the senior management level. Nonetheless each of our intelligence staff hold provincial private investigators licenses as required by statute.

What is HUMINT in a corporate or investment context?
In corporate and investment environments, human intelligence (HUMINT) involves the structured collection and analysis of intelligence derived from human behavior, interpersonal dynamics, influence networks, and source reporting.
HUMINT provides insight into intent, loyalty, deception, conflicted interests, and emerging insider risk - dimensions that cannot be reliably identified through technical tools or documentation alone. At Temple Risk Advisory, HUMINT is always corroborated through technical, digital, and analytical validation.
What types of insider threats do you assess?
We assess insider threats that may affect enterprise value and governance, including:
-
Intellectual property leakage
-
Corporate espionage and competitive compromise
-
Conflicted or compromised executives, advisors, or partners
-
Undisclosed external influence or alignment
-
Behavioral and cultural risk within leadership teams
-
Covert manipulation of decision-making processes
Assessments integrate HUMINT, psychodynamic intelligence, OSINT, SOCMINT, digital forensics, and counterintelligence tradecraft.
How does psychodynamic intelligence apply to intelligence work?
Psychodynamic intelligence is used as an analytic discipline, not a clinical or therapeutic exercise. It supports the assessment of motivation, defensive structures, relational patterns, and unconscious drivers that influence behavior in high-stakes environments.
At Temple Risk Advisory, psychodynamic insight is embedded within a full-spectrum intelligence framework and is always supported by operational intelligence, corroborated evidence, and technical findings.
Do you conduct surveillance?
Yes - when the intelligence requirement warrants it.
Temple Risk Advisory provides highly sophisticated, full-spectrum surveillance capabilities designed to obtain high-grade evidentiary material while maintaining maximum discretion and operational security.
This is not traditional private-investigator surveillance (e.g., a single operative in a vehicle). Our surveillance operations are:
-
Intelligence-driven and purpose-built
-
Multi-layered and operationally discreet
-
Designed to leave no operational footprint
-
Conducted with counter-detection awareness and legal oversight
Surveillance is deployed selectively and only when it materially advances the intelligence objective.
Do you provide TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures)?
Yes. Temple Risk Advisory provides advanced TSCM services as part of a broader counterintelligence posture.
Our TSCM approach includes:
-
Threat-informed technical assessment
-
Executive and board-level exposure analysis
-
Integration with HUMINT and behavioral intelligence
-
Evaluation of physical, technical, and digital compromise vectors
-
Discretion, documentation, and defensibility suitable for corporate counsel review
TSCM is treated as a strategic counterintelligence function, not a stand-alone technical sweep.
Do you use undercover operatives?
Yes - when required and appropriate.
Temple Risk Advisory maintains access to a highly specialized covert operations capability with extensive undercover experience. Undercover methodologies are employed selectively, ethically, and legally, and only in support of clearly defined intelligence objectives.
All such operations are governed by strict operational controls, legal oversight, and proportionality standards.
How is your work different from audit, compliance, or internal investigations?
Audit, compliance, and internal investigations focus on policy adherence, controls, and documented violations. Temple Risk Advisory focuses on human behavior, intent, influence, and covert dynamics that often exist well before formal violations occur -
or remain deliberately concealed.
Our work identifies latent and emerging risk, enabling earlier and more informed executive and board-level action.
Are Temple Risk Advisory’s services legal and ethical?
Yes. Temple Risk Advisory operates strictly in accordance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
We do not engage in unlawful surveillance, coercion, entrapment, or deceptive practices. All engagements are structured to ensure legal defensibility, ethical proportionality, and institutional integrity. Temple Risk advisory holds an Ontario agency Private investigations license and each one of our intelligence specialists as noted holds a valid Ontario Private investigators license as a condition of employment.
Do you operate internationally?
Yes. Temple Risk Advisory has experience supporting organizations operating across multiple jurisdictions. All international engagements are structured to ensure jurisdictional compliance, operational discipline, and legal oversight.
Do you provide reporting suitable for boards and corporate counsel?
